Ainsley graduated to starting to eat 'big girl' food...rice mush. Yummy! She loves eating mush now but the first few bites were quite hilarious as the little goof would pucker her lips back into her head. My personal favorite was when she would swallow and shake her head back and forth like the most disgusting flavor was torturing her tongue. This funny girl makes us smile.
Here's a picture from her first few bites. Wow, she's growing so quickly. She's already wanting to move on to ice cream!
Here she is showing off her tap dance outfit. Her legs kick so fast that it seems she can't wait to start dancing. (She is already dancing if you ask her.) She loves watching mommy dance and dances along with her. Aubrey loves dressing her up.
She was making daddy crack up when he brought home a special surprise for her...a baby walker. She was starting to practise moving around in the one at grandma and grandpa Winter's house but when we put her in her own walker, well she just watched us and then told us to get her out after a while. (She had to chew on the toys first before she would let us know she was bored with the idea.)
You can tell she loves it now. Really; you can tell from the picture right?
This is a picture of Ainsley and her favorite party hat. She does so good wearing it and we think that when she has it on she thinks she looks fancy because she is extra smiley and works hard to keep it on. She will wear it during our breakfast routine.
We've made it to trying new flavors and sweet potatoes made it quickly to the top of the list. Sweet potatoes-delicious! (Bananas would later replace them though and then cream would replace the bananas-thanks grandpa Winter.)
We have lived with Aubrey's Grandma Winter for the last couple of years for those who didn't know. Well last month Grandma bought a puppy named Oreo and he's so cute but such a rascal. Aubrey and Oreo had some initial conflict issues to work out but eventually they have grown to respect each other. He's a funny puppy and cracks Ainsley up; she loves watching him run around the backyard.
On my day off from work we had a special treat and went as a family to the Hoagle Zoo. Grandpa Winter came with us and we all had so much fun. Ainsley learned to appreciate watching the funny animals, well at least those that moved quickly enough for her to notice them.
Grandpa Winter is helping Ainsley figure out the funny black and white penguins.
Some animals deserved a more concerned look like the leopard and monkeys. You can't keep a close enough eye on them.
Ainsley got pretty sleepy into the adventure and dozed off with her pet zebra watching out for danger. Grandpa Winter surprised her with a zebra waiting for her at the gate.
Ainsley has accomplished quite a feat as she's finally learned how to turn over from her back to her belly. She's been working on it for a while...
Then when she gets there she's so proud of herself...
Proud, at least until she remembers how much she hates laying on her belly. Then she waits for someone noble to rescue her and roll her safely onto her back. She's going to have to work on this one next because rescuing her all day long is a chore.
